Thanks Sakura and I hope you had a Happy Easter as well - despite having a self-imposed penitence. I'm glad that St. Paul had a vivid imagination on how the events of Holy Week took place, otherwise the whole Christiandom will not have such a colourful way of commemorating these events. ;-)

Maybe it is too late to say but still i want to extend to greet you and all of your family a "Happy Easter!!!", seems like both Australia and Philippines has a common weather condition. It was raining for almost a day this past holy week, particular here in Davao. But still, rain showers doesn't stop the daily activity of people here in their holy week celebration.
Seems like you have a wonderful Easter celebration with you and your family and friends as what you have posted. Nice pictures and beautiful backgrounds. ;-)
We have are own version here celebrating the holy week and Easter. I've joined the procession of the way of the cross last Friday, It was started 4 in the morning and walked for more or less 5 Kilometers, despite the rain we manage to walked to finished the procession. It was a very long walked and finished almost 4 hours. I felt a terrible pain on my feet after that...hahhahahah. Last Easter Sunday, there is a mass at dawn, about 4:30 . There is what we call here "Salubong"(in tagalog) or "Sugat"(in bisaya). There are "angels" played by the little girls who remove the lambong (veil of mourning) of the Blessed Mother shortly after processions at Easter dawn, signifying the resurrection of Jesus. There's a presentation of the selected youth portraying the scene of the ladies going to Jesus tomb and so on while "angels" singing. It is a great experienced for once in a year. Whatever we celebrate it is just its one common in particular..."The God has risen!"... bow.
